This prestigious 200-hour training consists of the following key elements:

  • Techniques on how to teach Static & Flow yoga classes;

  • Studies of Pranayama, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra;

  • The history of yoga and yoga philosophy, including Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the 8-Limbs of Yoga;

  • Dharma talks, communication skills, and qualities of a teacher;

  • Self-inquiry and self-discovery work;

  • The business of yoga, ethics, and the energetics of teaching;

  • How to teach private yoga;

  • Practice group teaching and one-on-one coaching;

  • Basic Anatomy;

  • The subtle body: Chakras, Bandhas, Nadis, and Koshas;

  • Yogic Wellness;

  • Goal-Oriented teaching;

  • Tools to create a yoga class, including theme, sequence, and music.


Tuition includes books, materials, workshops, and an unlimited membership to SWEAT during the duration of yoga school!

Twelve Week Program

Our 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and capabilities to excel as yoga teachers and practitioners. The program covers asana, pranayama, mudras, Sanskrit, physiology, anatomy, philosophy, ethics, psychology, plus much more! We strive to create an environment that promotes learning and personal growth. Our program fosters a supportive student-teacher relationship to encourage each student's development. With ample opportunities for hands-on experience and practice teaching, our curriculum aims to mold you into a skilled and confident teacher capable of succeeding in any teaching environment.

Course Curriculum

The 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training includes but is not limited to the following topics:

· Advanced sequencing methods, including arm balancing, inversions, turns on the mat, sequencing on two mats, integration of breathwork, mudras, meditation, and marma influence, PLUS much more!

· Kinesiology and physiology

· Advanced study of the anatomy of the subtle body, including marma, nāḍi, prana, chakras, granthis, and koshas.

· Tracing the roots of Yoga and understanding its nuanced meanings

· Analysis of Haṭha Yoga: how it started and what it has become

· Understanding Tantra and its relation to contemporary and medieval forms of yoga.

· In-depth study of Ayurveda: how it applies to yoga, diet, and lifestyle

· In-depth study of Sanskr̥t: its pronunciation, characters, and rudimentary grammar

This training is suitable for dedicated students, regardless of whether they are current or aspiring teachers. The content is presented in a way that facilitates learning and ensures accessibility for everyone.

Enrollment includes a comprehensive manual written by Jessie Fletcher and one-on-one mentorship. As lead trainer, Jessie Fletcher will issue and sign certificates. The program will consist of modular reflections, a final project, and a final exam. Teaching practicums will be scheduled for each module for individuals who are teachers or aspire to become teachers.

Requirements

· Practice at least 3 times per week. There will be a log/journal handed out to keep up with class attendance. Logs will be turned in at the beginning of every TT session. Logs will be returned to you for your records.

· Teach a minimum of 10 hrs of community classes (5hrs observed/5hrs non-observed).

· Attendance is MANDATORY for all Teacher Training sessions. Session make-up hours must be preapproved and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

· Completion of final student project/presentation related to the content material.

· Complete and pass a written examination proctored by the Program Director to qualify for a certificate of completion, enabling registration at the 300-hour certificate enabling registration at the 500-hour level with Yoga Alliance.

***Yoga Alliance requires all trainees who wish to register at the 500-hour level must already have completed a 200-hour certificate from an approved YA 200-hour school and have taught a minimum of 100 hours of Yoga.***

Expectations

· Keep a journal of your thoughts and experiences throughout the training.

· Be open to learning new information and pushing beyond perceived personal limitations.

· Give 100% of your attention and effort to all reading, written, home study assignments, and all activities that involve active participation.

Tuition

For yoga teachers wanting a certification, the cost is $4500, with a 10% early-bird discount. For people who want to do the immersion only (no teaching certification), the cost is $4000, with a 10% early-bird discount. There is also the option to attend specific modules at a modular price of $350.
